Job summary

IRT Australia is seeking a motivated Hospitality Team Leader to oversee planning, ordering, preparation and compliance of food service, laundry and cleaning operations in a Permanent Part-Time role.

The position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 0800–1600, with responsibilities spanning staff supervision, meal planning, HACCP compliance and service standards to support residents' quality food experiences.

Qualifications

• Certificate III (or higher) in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery.
• Certificate IV in Leadership & Management (or willingness to obtain).
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving, negotiating and organisational skills.
• Ability to plan and prioritise own work and/or work of others to meet deadlines.
• Understanding of Aged Care Quality and Food Safety Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentoring and supervising hospitality employees, including reviewing performance.
• Plan, ordering and overseeing the preparation of all meals (dietary requirements) and light refreshments for residents.
• Ensure food safety documentation is complete and that all practices meet HACCP requirements.
• Ensure deliveries are received and processed per IRT food safety plan.
• Monitor cleaning contractor team to ensure standards are met.
• Ensure hospitality services meet Aged Care Quality Standards and IRT policies.
• Participate in recruitment, selection and orientation of team members.
