Job summary
Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician at Westmead Hospital to support safe and timely pharmaceutical services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
You will assist with dispensing, medication distribution, and sterile/non-sterile preparation, while adhering to legislation and hospital procedures. The role offers exposure to hospital pharmacy operations within NSW Health and requires flexibility for overtime and on-call shifts.
Qualifications
- Nationally recognised pharmacy qualification required.
- Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1 or 2 qualifications pathways available.
- Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support certificates required for Technician grades.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, accurate pharmaceutical services to patients at Westmead Hospital.
- Assist with dispensing and medication distribution.
- Prepare pharmaceutical products in line with approved master formulations and procedures.
- Support sterile and non-sterile manufacturing.
- Maintain quality and compliance with medication management requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
- Work overtime, weekends and on-call shifts as rostered.
