Job summary

NSW Health's St Vincent's Public Hospital Sydney is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support inpatient and outpatient services under the supervision of a Pharmacist, developing clinical skills in medication management and patient counselling.

This max term, full-time role runs for 12 months until January 2028. Applicants must have a Pharmacy degree and be eligible for provisional registration with AHPRA, with enrolment in an approved Intern Training Program prior to commencement.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree and provisional registration eligibility with AHPRA.
• Eligibility to enrol in an approved Intern Training Program prior to commencement.
• Strong pharmacology knowledge and ability to apply it clinically.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a busy hospital pharmacy team.

Responsibilities

• Support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services under supervision.
• Develop clinical skills in medication management and pharmaceutical care planning.
• Deliver patient counselling and provide drug information to patients and carers.
• Gain experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality/safety controls.
• Participate in pharmacy practice research and weekend rosters as required.
