Icon Group’s Slade Pharmacy is hiring a Hospital Pharmacist for a fulltime, on-site role based primarily at Slade Pharmacy Box Hill, with opportunities to work across Slade Pharmacy Adeney. Pharmacy Melbourne Casual Slade Pharmacy Key Points Employment Type: Casual Location: Primarily based at Slade Pharmacy Box Hill (Epworth Eastern Private Hospital), with opportunities to work across Slade Pharmacy Adeney (Adeney Private Hospital) Roster: Shifts may be available across both Box Hill and Adeney pharmacy sites. Experience: Minimum 1-year experience as a registered Pharmacist. No hospital experience required. Availability: Flexibility to work a variety of weekday and weekend shifts across the operating hours of both pharmacy sites is highly regarded.

What You’ll Do

Working across Slade Pharmacy Box Hill and Slade Pharmacy Adeney, you'll collaborate closely with clinicians, nurses, and technicians, manage specialised medications, and contribute meaningfully across the patient journey from diagnosis through to treatment and recovery. This role provides exposure to two supportive hospital pharmacy environments and a diverse range of patients and clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
• Dispensing and supplying medication and pharmacy products
• Coordinating patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
• Developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
• Supporting patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
• Educating and advising staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the quality use of medicines

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment and brings a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a patient-centred mindset. In this specialised setting, high-pressure situations are not uncommon, so strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise effectively are essential. An ability to work flexibly across both pharmacy locations and varying rostered shifts will be highly regarded. Prior hospital experience is not a mandatory requirement for this role, as full training and mentorship will be provided by our experienced pharmacy teams.

Essential Requirements

• General registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
• Minimum 1-year Australian Pharmacist experience.
• Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-month from start of employment.
• Personal Indemnity insurance.
