Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Karenni interpreter for on-site work at our Werribee Mercy Hospital facilities in Australia. The casual role supports patient care by providing accurate interpretation during medical consultations and between health professionals and patients.

Applicants should have experience interpreting in acute hospital environments in Australia and possess knowledge of medical terminology. A Police Check and Working with Children Check will be required, along with vaccination

Qualifications

• Experience in interpreting in acute hospitals in Australia, including knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting services at consultations with health professionals throughout the hospital and satellite clinics as requested.
• Maintain an accurate record of bookings, including cancellations and rescheduled appointments, and document the outcome of each service request.
• Liaise with the Interpreter Bookings Coordinator in relation to bookings.
