Job summary

ISS Health Team is seeking casual Hospital Cleaners to join our Melbourne team at Peter James Centre (Burwood). Wage includes award allowances with weekend and public holiday work.

Paid training provided and access to MyISS discounts; professional development opportunities exist within a close, supportive team culture. Candidates should be flexible to work across the week, including 6:30am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-10:30pm shifts.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination of surfaces after clinical waste spillage
• Identifying and recording problems relating to cleaning services and safety
• Provide cleaning services in patient and non-patient areas following infection control procedures and waste removal

Our ISS Health Team is growing, and we are currently seeking casual Hospital Cleaners to join our team at Peter James Centre(Burwood)

We are looking for individuals who are able to work across the week, day shifts 6:30am-2:30pm, and afternoon shifts starting at 2:30pm -10:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to work early mornings or evening shifts
• Safe handling of chemical and/or hazardous substances in the performance of cleaning duties
• Decontamination of surfaces after the initial clinical waste spillage has been removed by clinical staff
• Identifying and recording any problems relating to cleaning services and/or safety
• Provide cleaning services in both patient and non-patient areas, adhering to infection control procedures, conducting waste removal, and undertaking infectious cleaning in designated areas

About you:

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service
• Ability to work day or evening shifts, between the hours of 6:30am to 10:30pm
• Ability to undergo a functional pre-employment medical
• Police Clearance, or ability to obtain, is essential
• Evidence of immunisation for Influenza, or willingness to obtain, as per VIC Health Worker policy is essential
