Job summary

Adventist HealthCare Limited (Aus) operates Sydney Adventist Hospital (the San) in Wahroonga, NSW, the state’s largest private hospital. The Biomedical Engineer role sits with a dedicated four-person Engineering team, overseeing maintenance, testing and repair of medical equipment to meet Australian Standards and NSQHS requirements.

Qualifications

Formal Qualifications in Biomedical Engineering.
Post-qualification hospital experience preferred; new graduates encouraged.
Familiarity with Australian Standards and NSQHS requirements.
Experience with CMMS or service management systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance, testing and repair of medical equipment.
Collaborate with internal teams and address inquiries.
Inspect new and repaired equipment for safety and functionality.
Remove unsafe equipment and report issues; provide feedback on purchases.
Maintain accurate service records and order parts.
Ensure a clean, compliant workspace and follow hospital policies.
