Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

We have a full-time position for a Horticulture Grower (Grapes) available in our vineyard in Robinvale 3549 VIC.

SKILLS

You must have the following skills;

• Relevant AQF Cert III or Cert IV qualifications or equivalent & 2 years’ experience OR
• 5 years of relevant experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring the cultivation and production of table grapes across the vineyard. The position ensures grapevines are maintained throughout the production cycle to achieve optimum plant health, crop yield, fruit quality and efficient harvesting outcomes.

POSITION DUTIES

• You will be required to undertake the following duties;
• Plan, coordinate and monitor grape production activities throughout the growing, harvesting and post-harvest cycle.
• Monitor vine health, crop development, soil moisture and growing conditions, including irrigation, fertigation and plant nutrition requirements.
• Implement and oversee pruning, canopy management, bunch manipulation, pest, disease and weed control programs.
• Monitor fruit maturity, crop quality and expected yields, and coordinate harvesting to meet production and quality requirements.
• Supervise vineyard staff and contractors and ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with established horticultural practices.

SALARY

The position will attract an annual salary of $70 000 - $90 000 negotiated based on your relevant experience.
