Job summary

Plants Plus Cumberland Forest in West Pennant Hills, Sydney, is hiring a friendly Horticultural Sales Assistant. You will help customers, share plant knowledge, and provide practical gardening advice in a busy garden centre setting.

The role involves recommending products, assisting with pest and disease troubleshooting, assisting with purchases at the POS, hand watering and nursery maintenance, with weekend work required in a casual position.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for horticulture and customer service.
• Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture.
• Retail or garden centre sales experience desirable.
• Good plant knowledge, especially Australian natives.
• Positive, can-do attitude and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing outstanding customer service and horticultural advice.
• Recommending products and assisting with pest and disease troubleshooting.
• Helping customers to their vehicles with purchases (plants, pots, bagged goods, etc.).
• Operating the Point of Sale system (training provided).
• Hand watering, plant care, and general nursery maintenance.
• Weekend work will be required as part of a casual position.
