Complete Staff Solutions is seeking Horticultural Labourers to support maintenance of sporting fields, public parks, streetscapes and reserves across the Ballina Shire. You will operate ride-on and zero-turn mowers, trim and edge, weed control and general gardening duties to keep spaces clean, presentable and accessible.

Ideal applicants hold a White Card and a valid driver's licence, with a Certificate III in Horticulture highly regarded.

Qualifikationen

• White Card (Construction Induction Card) required.
• Current driver's licence.
• Chemical handling certificate required.
• Certificate III in Horticulture highly regarded.
• Experience in parks, gardens, groundskeeping or facility maintenance.
• Experience operating plant and equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.).
• Knowledge of weed control and general gardening.
• Physically fit and able to perform strenuous work.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Works well independently and in a team.

Horticultural Labourers - Open Spaces and Reserves

These roles will assist with the maintenance and upkeep of sporting fields, public parks, streetscapes, pathways and public amenities throughout the Ballina Shire.

Key responsibilities

Operating ride-on and zero-turn mowers, line trimmers and other powered equipment

Maintaining public parks, pathways, sporting fields and streetscapes

Lawn mowing, edging and trimming overgrown vegetation

Undertaking weed control and general gardening duties

Carrying out general labouring and maintenance tasks

Ensuring public spaces and facilities are maintained to a high standard and remain clean, presentable and accessible

Following safe work procedures and adhering to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and practices

About you

A current Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)

A current driver's licence

A current chemical handling certificate

A Certificate III in Horticulture will be highly regarded

Previous experience in parks, gardens, groundskeeping or facility maintenance

Experience operating plant and equipment, including zero-turn mowers, brush cutters, line trimmers, chainsaws and other hand tools

Knowledge of general gardening, grounds maintenance and weed control

Physically fit and capable of undertaking strenuous manual work

Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude

Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
