Job summary

Hoppers Bowls Club in Victoria is seeking a playing Coach for the 2026/27 season and beyond to improve and lead the club into the future. The role requires ability to play for the top pennant team and to engage with members of all ages. You will participate in pennant team selections and drive coaching across the club.

The successful candidate will be proactive, approachable, and capable of fostering strong team relationships while delivering weekly training and targeted coaching sessions.

Job description

Hoppers Bowls Club (HBC) is currently seeking expressions of interest for a playing Coach to join the Club for the upcoming 2026/27 season and beyond.

We are seeking a highly passionate and motivated playing coach to improve and lead the club into the future.

Background

.

Located in the Metro West Bowls Region we field four teams in the weekend pennant competition and four teams in the midweek pennant competition.

We have one tiff grass green and one synthetic green and full access to the Hoppers Club’s facilities.

This position is for the club playing coach, who will be responsible for developing new and experienced players, providing a coordinated approach to coaching across the Club and fostering good team relationships.

The Position.

While a coaching qualification is helpful, it is not a prerequisite for the role. The applicant must have the ability to play for our club in the top pennant team.

You will be able to engage with members of all ages and divisions and be very approachable and friendly for the role.

This role will also require your input in the selection of Pennant Teams.

Remuneration

Remuneration will be negotiated based on the successful applicant’s experience, availability, and level of commitment.

HBC is open to discussing a multi-year arrangementwith the right candidate. There may also be opportunities for additional employment within the club for interested applicants.
