Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Home Services Officer (All-Rounder) for BlueCare at the Kallangur Pilgrim Aged Care Facility. The casual role involves meal support, cleaning, laundry and resident-facing service, with shifts starting as early as 6am and finishing up to 8pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, food services, cleaning, laundry or a similar role.
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to quality service.
• Understanding of food safety, infection control and cleaning practices.
• Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policies.
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with meal preparation, meal service and dining room support.
• Cleaning resident rooms and shared areas to a high standard.
• Providing laundry services, including care for resident clothing and linen.
• Supporting residents with warm, respectful and person-centred service.
• Following food safety, infection control and hygiene practices.
• Collaborating with the hospitality team to deliver daily services.

• Employment Term: Casual Opportunity Available
• Roster: Please clearly state your availability for shifts on your application questionnaire. Morning shifts can start as early as 6am. Afternoon shifts can finish as late as 8pm.
• Location: Kallangur Pilgrim Aged Care Facility
• Remuneration: $30.05 p/hr ($37.56 p/hr casual) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

About the role:

As a Home Services Officer, you'll help create a clean, welcoming and comfortable environment for residents in our aged care home, supporting their wellbeing and quality of life through activities that include:

• Assisting with meal preparation, meal service and dining room support
