Job summary

Air Liquide Healthcare Australia is seeking a Home Healthcare Technician to deliver medical gases and equipment to healthcare facilities and patients in homes. You will set up, educate and assist with maintenance of oxygen equipment, while handling stock and administrative tasks.

You will be confident operating a commercial vehicle, able to lift 4–25 kg, and flexible for rostering with on-call requirements. Healthcare logistics experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling medical gas cylinders.
• Comfortable moving cylinders 4–25 kg.
• Able to work on-call and rosters.
• Experience in healthcare logistics is favourable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medical gases to doctors, dentists and residential aged care facilities.
• Visit patients to deliver medical equipment, gas cylinders and other supplies.
• Set up and maintain medical equipment and educate patients on its use.
• Diagnose and provide replacements for defective units.
• Manage stock and perform administration tasks.

The Role

As our Home Healthcare Technician, you be responsible for delivering medical gases and equipment via cylinders to various healthcare facilities, as well as visiting our patients in their homes to assist them with set-up, education and maintenance of oxygen equipment.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

• Deliver medical gases to doctors, dentists and residential aged care facilities
• Visiting patients to deliver medical equipment, medical gas cylinders and other medical supplies
• Set-up and maintenance of medical equipment and educating patients on its use
• Diagnosis and providing replacements of defective units
• Administration tasks including but not limited to stock management
• Experience and confidence operating a commercial vehicle in a safe manner;
• Safe driving technique;
• Reasonable fit: comfortable moving cylinders and medical equipment that range in weight from 4 to 25kg. Once you’ve reached your destination you will be transporting the heavier items (20kgs plus) using a trolley
• Flexibility with rostering: with on-call
• Experience in healthcare related logistics/patient care would be favourable, but not required
