Job summary

Auto & General is seeking a motivated individual to join our Home Claims team on a 3-month contract in North Lakes and Kawana. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers navigating home insurance claims and work on real cases from day one following a structured training program.

No prior insurance experience required—just the right attitude and a commitment to helping people. Start date is 30 November 2026, with Monday–Friday hours 8am–4pm.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or holding a tertiary qualification in any discipline.
• Strong communication and time management.
• Interest in helping people.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for home insurance claims by phone.
• Review reports from builders, engineers, and suppliers to inform claims decisions.
• Build relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers to drive best outcomes.
• Develop skills in customer communication, claims management, and compliance through a 12-week training program.

What You'll Do

Be the first point of contact for customers over the phone who are navigating a home insurance claim

Review reports from builders, engineers, and suppliers to make informed claims decisions

Build relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers to drive the best outcomes

Develop skills in customer communication, claims management, and compliance through our structured 12-week training program
