Job summary

Right at Home Gold Coast is hiring Support Workers to assist clients in their homes across the Gold Coast region. You will provide compassionate, person‑centred care, helping with daily living tasks and mobility, while supporting clients to stay independent and engaged in their community.

The role is casual with flexible hours, offering paid travel time and kilometre reimbursement. You will work under guidance from clinical nurses and coordinators, with ongoing training and development

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or health-related studies.
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• Driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Personal support — assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility.
• High-level personal care, mobility assistance, falls-risk awareness.
• Community access — help clients attend appointments and social activities.
• Domestic assistance — cleaning, laundry, meal preparation.
• Companionship — provide emotional support and social connection.
• Mental-health-informed support — respond to behavioural cues calmly.
• Care plan documentation — follow and record services.
• Team collaboration — work with coordinators and clinical team to ensure safe care.

We are currently seeking caring, reliable Support Workers to join our casual team across Gold Coast and in the Ormeau area.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Personal support — assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• High‑level personal care, including mobility assistance and falls‑risk awareness
• Community access — supporting clients to attend appointments, social activities, and community programs
• Domestic assistance — cleaning, laundry, meal preparation
• Companionship — offering emotional reassurance, conversation, and meaningful social connection
• Mental‑health‑informed support — understanding behavioural cues and providing calm, reassuring interaction
• Care plan documentation — following individualised plans and accurately recording services
• Team collaboration — working closely with our coordinators and clinical team to ensure safe, high‑quality support
