Job summary

My Guardian Group is seeking Home Care Workers in Labrador, QLD to deliver personalised in-home care. You’ll provide companionship, assist with daily tasks, and help clients stay engaged in the community with supported transport where needed.

Must have care experience, strong communication skills and valid First Aid/CPR, NDIS screening, and Police Check. Certificate III in relevant field is highly regarded, with the potential for flexibility across shifts.

• Experience in domestic care, community support, or independence assistance.
• Excellent communication with clients and families, and accurate documentation.
• Valid First Aid & CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check.
• Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide true companionship, build connections and reduce client isolation.
• Assist with personal care and light household tasks to maintain a safe home.
• Enable community participation by driving clients to activities and appointments.

What You’ll Do

You won't just be checking boxes; you’ll be changing lives. Your day-to-day will focus on:

• True Companionship: Building real connections, reducing isolation, and supporting emotional well-being.
• Independence at Home: Personal Care, helping with light household duties, cleaning, laundry, and meal prep to keep homes safe and comfortable.
• Community Connection: Getting clients out and about—driving them to social activities, shopping, and vital appointments.

What You Bring to the Team

We value heart, reliability, and professionalism above all else. To set you up for success, you will need:

• Experience in Care: A solid background in domestic assistance, community transport, and supporting independent living.
• Great Communication: The ability to document care accurately and communicate effectively with families and coordinators.
• The Essentials: A valid First Aid & CPR Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check (or a willingness to obtain them quickly).
• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support is highly regarded but not mandatory if you have the right experience!
