Job summary

BaptistCare Victoria is seeking a Home Care Worker to support clients in Melbourne’s Northern Region, providing quality in-home assistance and helping with everyday tasks to promote independence.

You will visit clients with your own car, complete tasks such as household chores, shopping, and personal support, and build genuine connections to help people live their best lives at home.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence is required.
• Reliable vehicle and ability to travel between clients.
• Strong communication, patience and resilience.
• Proficient with smartphone apps, email and basic tech use.

About the role

As a Home Care Worker supporting clients in Melbourne’s Northern Region, you will be part of our Baptistcare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning and general shopping for clients. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

To support you in your role

We offer a comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts

You’ll have direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you

Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways

Earn $32.85/hr plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What do we need from you?

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
