Job summary

Vasey RSL Care is offering newly created casual Home Care Support Worker positions to help grow our services across Metropolitan Melbourne, Mornington and Geelong. The role involves in-home assistance to support residents’ cultural, emotional, physical, social and spiritual well-being.

You will travel between participants’ homes, provide personal care, support daily tasks and help engage in community activities.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability.
• Proven ability to effectively manage time and organise workload.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Current First Aid Certificate & CPR certificates.
• Reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Willingness to undergo a National police check and provide rights to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home direct care to help achieve daily living goals.
• Assist with personal care and domestic tasks as needed.
• Support participation in social activities and shopping outside the home.
• Travel between participants’ homes as required within chosen region.

About the role

The Community Services Support Worker will provide direct in-home assistance which supports each person to achieve their cultural, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual goals in their daily living. Duties may vary from providing personal care assistance and performing domestic tasks to assisting them to engage in social activities and shopping external to their home.

Travel between participants’ homes will be required. Participants will be allocated wherever practical in your chosen region.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing rights-based person-led care and improving people's quality of life. You will need to be flexible and adaptable, and confident to respond to various situations and meet the needs of our participants.

You will also have:

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability
• Proven ability to effectively manage time and organise workload
• Strong computer literacy
• Current First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificates.
• Reliable and registered vehicle and current Comprehensive car insurance.
• Current driver’s licence
