Job summary

Vasey RSL Care is seeking Community Services Support Workers to provide in-home support across Metropolitan Melbourne, Mornington & Geelong. Duties include personal care, domestic tasks and helping clients engage in social activities.

Travel between participants’ homes is required. A Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, strong time management, computer literacy, First Aid & CPR, a valid driver’s licence and vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability is required.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and organise workload.
• Strong computer literacy and basic IT proficiency.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct in-home support to help clients achieve daily living goals.
• Assist with personal care, domestic tasks and social activities.
• Travel between participants' homes across metropolitan regions.

About the role

The Community Services Support Worker will provide direct in-home assistance which supports each person to achieve their cultural, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual goals in their daily living. Duties may vary from providing personal care assistance and performing domestic tasks to assisting them to engage in social activities and shopping external to their home.

Travel between participants’ homes will be required. Participants will be allocated wherever practical in your chosen region.

About you

You will also have:

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability
• Proven ability to effectively manage time and organise workload
• Strong computer literacy
• Current First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificates.
• Reliable and registered vehicle and current Comprehensive car insurance.
• Current driver’s licence
• Willingness to undergo a National police check and provide proof of rights to work in Australia
