Job summary

Focus Connect is seeking a caring Support Worker to assist older people in the Fairfield West, Mount Pritchard, Canley Heights and Liverpool area. You will provide personal care, domestic help, and social support to help clients stay independent at home.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Individual Aged Care or Community Services (Cert III or above) or equivalent.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence.
• Proof of working rights in Australia.
• Smartphone for rostering.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including showering, dressing, and hygiene support.
• Providing medication assistance.
• Assisting with domestic tasks such as light cleaning and laundry.
• Providing social support including companionship and community access.
• Supporting clients to attend appointments or activities.
• Building genuine, respectful relationships with clients.

About the Role

This role focuses on supporting older people to remain living safely and independently at home while staying connected to their community.

Your day may include:

• Providing personal care including showering, dressing, and hygiene support
• Providing medication assistance
• Assisting with domestic assistance such as light cleaning, laundry, and basic household tasks
• Providing social support including companionship and community access
• Supporting clients to attend appointments or activities
• Building genuine, respectful relationships with clients

What You Bring

• A genuine passion for supporting older people
• A caring, respectful, and reliable approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in personal care
• Willingness to support or learn domestic assistance tasks
• Ability to work independently in the community
• Qualification in Individual Aged Care or Community Services (Cert III or above) or equivalent
• Current NSW Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
• Experience providing personal care
• National Police Check & Working With Children Check
• Proof of working rights in Australia
• Smartphone for rostering

Languages Highly Regarded (Current Priority Areas)
