Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Home Care team across the Mid-North Coast/Forster/Taree region. Deliver evidence-based assessments and interventions to support independence at home for aged care clients.

The role emphasises reablement and restorative care, with flexible work options, a supportive multidisciplinary team, and a values-driven culture. Applicants must hold AHPRA registration and a valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration.
• Ability to assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients in the community.
• Post graduate experience in aged care services, including rehabilitation and community settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models.
• Confident working independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.
• Alignment with BaptistCare’s values and mission.
• Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs.
• Focus on reablement and restorative care to maintain or regain independence at home.
• Work with clients in the Mid-North Coast/Forster/Taree and surrounding areas.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team guided by BaptistCare’s Well-Living approach.
