Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) in Penrith, NSW is seeking a casual Home Care Employee to deliver personalised in-home support. You will assist with meals, transport, personal care, and domestic tasks while helping clients maintain independence and safety at home.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support, have at least 1 year of experience, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel within the Lower Blue Mountains region.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged or Individual Support, or AIN qualifications (Must Have)
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and an empathy with older people
• Current driver's license and car with full comprehensive insurance
• Willingness to travel on a regular basis using your own vehicle.
• Reliable and trustworthy – our clients are dependent on you.
• Ability to work with minimal to no supervision
• Proven Aged Care or NDIS services background
• Excellent customer service skills and enjoy working independently and remotely in customers’ homes and in the local community.

Responsibilities

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a casual Home Care Employee. To be successful, you must be available to work flexible shifts and be able to commit to ongoing casual work. Applicants must be be able to cater clients in the Lower Blue Mountains region, including Springwood, Glenbrook, Hazelbrook, Katoomba, and nearby areas. A pplicants who live within or near these areas are strongly encouraged to apply.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent, have at least 1 year of experience in aged care, and demonstrate a caring, reliable, and client-focused approach to supporting older people to live safely and independently at home.

Your role will include:
