Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is seeking a dedicated Spiritual Care Coordinator in the Deniliquin region to provide compassionate, person-centred spiritual and emotional support to residents and families across our aged care locations.

You will plan memorials, coordinate community group visits, and mentor volunteers, integrating wellbeing insights into care planning and documentation while supporting grief, illness, and end-of-life experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 Unit of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) or equivalent
• Experience in aged care pastoral/spiritual care
• Understanding of person-centred care principles
• Compassionate and reflective listener with strong interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting volunteers in a care setting (Desirable)
• Qualification in training and education (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Providing tailored emotional and spiritual support
• Supporting individuals through grief, illness, and end-of-life experiences
• Helping people connect with what gives them meaning, purpose, and comfort
• Planning and coordinating memorial services, reflections, and visits from community groups
• Sharing wellbeing insights through care planning, meetings, and documentation
• Recruiting, mentoring, and supporting volunteers who contribute to resident and client wellbeing
