Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is seeking a Spiritual Care Coordinator to provide emotional and spiritual support across multiple locations. You will help residents and clients connect with meaning and comfort, coordinate memorials and reflections, and mentor volunteers who contribute to wellbeing.

The role offers flexible hours from part-time to full-time, in a not-for-profit care environment focused on compassionate, person-centred care and holistic wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care pastoral/spiritual care.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles.
• Compassionate and reflective listener with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing tailored emotional and spiritual support.
• Supporting individuals through grief, illness, and end-of-life experiences.
• Helping people connect with what gives them meaning, purpose, and comfort.
• Planning and coordinating memorial services, reflections, and visits from community groups.
• Sharing wellbeing insights through care planning, meetings, and documentation.
• Recruiting, mentoring, and supporting volunteers who contribute to resident and client wellbeing.
