Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT is seeking a Spiritual Care Coordinator to provide tailored emotional and spiritual support across multiple sites. You will champion person-centred care, helping residents connect with meaning, purpose and community, and coordinate memorials and reflections with kindness.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role with options for part-time to full-time hours. Your work will involve one-on-one support, mentoring volunteers, and documenting care plans to enhance resident and

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 Unit of CPE or equivalent.
• Experience in aged care pastoral/spiritual care.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles.
• Compassionate and reflective listener with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting volunteers in a care setting (Desirable)
• Qualification in training and education (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Providing tailored emotional and spiritual support
• Supporting individuals through grief, illness, and end-of-life experiences
• Helping people connect with what gives them meaning, purpose, and comfort
• Planning and coordinating memorial services, reflections, and visits from community groups
• Sharing wellbeing insights through care planning, meetings, and documentation
• Recruiting, mentoring, and supporting volunteers who contribute to resident and client wellbeing
