Job summary

Star Discount Chemist Hendon is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant for a casual Christmas and New Year period, to deliver outstanding customer service and pharmacy assistance in a busy retail environment. You’ll help with prescription submissions, stock control, invoicing, POS operations, and maintain a welcoming store.

Experience in pharmacy or retail is preferred; own transport and Australian work rights are required.

Qualifications

Friendly, customer-focused mindset with a passion for service.
Previous experience in pharmacy or retail is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional presentation and a customer-first attitude.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Full availability over the Christmas/New Year period (weekdays and weekends shifts).
Driver's license and own transport.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service and expert advice on health and beauty products.
Assist customers with prescription submissions to our pharmacists.
Invoicing and stocktaking.
Operate the point of sale and manage cash handling.
Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming.
Promote current sales and product offerings to customers.
