Qualifications

Responsibilities

Jamin O’Donnell Concreting Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Truck & Dog Driver to join our growing team.

We are a busy local concreting and earthworks company servicing the Hervey Bay and Maryborough areas. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their equipment, works safely and can be relied upon to get the job done.

THE ROLE

Your primary role will be operating a Truck & Dog combination, transporting materials to and from our worksites and suppliers.

Duties will include:

• Operating a Truck & Dog safely and efficiently
• Transporting sand, gravel, crusher dust, soil and other construction materials
• Loading and tipping materials safely on construction sites
• Completing pre-start checks and basic daily vehicle inspections
• Keeping the truck and equipment clean and well maintained
• Working around active concreting and earthworks sites
• Communicating with supervisors, suppliers and other team members
• Following site safety procedures and company policies
• Completing required paperwork and delivery documentation

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

To be successful, you will need:

• Current HC licence – essential
• Previous Truck & Dog experience – essential
• Good knowledge of safe loading, tipping and vehicle operation
• Experience working on construction, civil or earthworks sites
• Strong awareness of WHS and site safety requirements
• Ability to carry out basic vehicle checks and identify maintenance issues
• Good communication skills
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A professional attitude when dealing with customers, suppliers and other contractors
• Experience operating earthmoving equipment such as excavators, skid steers or loaders would be highly regarded, but the position is primarily for an experienced Truck & Dog Driver.
