Job summary

ChoiceOne in Australia seeks an experienced Truck & Dog Operator for immediate start. Role involves safely transporting and tipping materials between yards, suppliers and job sites, with a minimum of five years in Truck & Dog operation.

You will perform pre-starts, load and unload at sites, and assist with yard duties as required. This full-time position offers about 55 hours per week, with pay negotiable based on experience; must have MC licence and strong reversing/coupling skills.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Truck & Dog Operator for an immediate start, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience operating a truck and dog combination in the earthmoving or civil industry.

A Truck & Dog combination is a tipper truck towing a separate tipping trailer (the "dog"). You will be responsible for safely transporting and tipping materials such as sand, limestone, road base, soil and other fill between yards, suppliers and job sites.

The Role:

Duties will include:

• Operating a truck and dog combination
• Transporting and tipping materials safely
• Loading and unloading materials at various sites
• Completing daily pre-starts and vehicle checks
• Following site instructions and delivery schedules
• General yard/site duties when required

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ Truck & Dog operating experience
• Must have MC Driver Licence
• Confident reversing, coupling/uncoupling and operating the tipping trailer
• Experience with earthmoving or construction materials preferable
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Looking for stable, long-term work

Hours & Pay

• 6:00am arrival / 6:20am start
• Full time
• Monday–Friday, approximately 55 hours per week
• Saturdays only occasionally required
• Pay negotiable depending on experience
