Bidgerdii Community Health Service in Rockhampton, QLD invites energetic people to join the HIPPY Tutor team. You will deliver the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters in Rockhampton and Mount Morgan, with training and support from the HIPPY Coordinator.

This developmental role requires no formal qualifications and offers up to 15 hours per week across 3 days, with no school holiday work, making it flexible for families.

Qualifications

• A passion for supporting children's early learning and family wellbeing.
• Willingness to travel locally for home visits.
• Working with Children and young People check and National Police Clearance required before employment.
• Immunisation against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A/B and pertussis during employment.

Responsabilités

• Deliver the HIPPY program to families through weekly or fortnightly home visits.
• Support parents to engage in their child’s learning using fun and simple activities (just 15 minutes a day!).
• Encourage participation in reading, play, and educational activities.
• Assist with planning and running HIPPY gatherings.
• Attend all training sessions, workshops, and supervision led by the coordinator.
• Link families with local services where needed with the support of the Coordinator.
• Explore your own training and employment goals through the participate to Possibilities pathway.
