Job summary

Stowe Australia in Victoria seeks a High Voltage Electrical Technician with hands-on experience in maintaining, testing and servicing HV equipment for a Blue-Chip client base. You’ll work across multiple brands, with strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.

Responsibilities include preventive and reactive maintenance of HV/LV switchgear, transformers, switchboards and SCADA systems, plus primary/secondary injection testing, HV switching procedures, and strict safety documentation.

Qualifications

• A-Grade Electrical Trade Qualification or equivalent.
• High Voltage Switching Operator certificate (current).
• Experience with industrial or utility HV/LV assets.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Thermography or Ultrasonic or other condition monitoring certifications are advantageous.

• Compliance & Safety: Follow strict safety rules, complete risk assessments, and write service reports, developing of job specific JSA’s, SWMS and Safety documents.

One of Australia’s largest electrical & communications contractors is looking to engage the services of a High Voltage Electrical Technician with experience in maintaining, testing and servicing of High Voltage equipment.

You will need to demonstrate a strong background in the maintaining and testing of High Voltage equipment dealing largely with a Blue-Chip client base.

You will need to be able to perform your works across several different brands of equipment and have strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Thermography, Ultrasonic or any other condition monitoring certifications would be an advantage.

Applicants will only be considered if they have High Voltage experience and has all the necessary clearances and visa requirements to work in Australia.

Remuneration and package will be developed depending on abilities and experience based on current Victorian ETU EBA conditions.
