Job summary

Dapto High School in Wollongong is seeking a dedicated Student Support Officer to join the team full time on a temporary ACIP basis. The role focuses on enhancing student wellbeing and learning outcomes in partnership with the school's wellbeing team and counselling service.

You will deliver individual and group wellbeing support, contribute to schoolwide wellbeing initiatives, and coordinate referrals to external child and family support services to help students and families.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline.
• Knowledge of Department’s Aboriginal education policies.
• Valid and current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and targeted wellbeing support for students.
• Collaborate with the wellbeing team and the school counselling service.
• Develop referral pathways to external child and family support agencies.
• Lead whole‑of‑school wellbeing initiatives and programs.
