Job summary

Phoenix Education in Sydney is seeking a motivated Secondary Maths Tutor to support high school students and contribute to our growing team. You will deliver well-structured lessons for Years 7-12 and help students develop confidence in key mathematical concepts.

We welcome applicants pursuing or holding a Mathematics or Education degree, with tutoring or teaching experience preferred. You will join a collaborative, supportive centre offering ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Studying or holding a degree in Mathematics or Education.
• Experience tutoring or teaching secondary Maths is preferred but not essential.
• Reliability, adaptability and willingness to receive training.

Phoenix Education is a growing tutoring provider in Sydney, focused on helping students build strong academic foundations and achieve their best results. We are currently seeking a motivated and engaging Secondary Maths Tutor to support our high school students and contribute to our expanding team.

The Role

In this position, you will:

• Deliver well-structured and engaging lessons for students from Years 7-12 during the school term
• Track student progress through regular quizzes, marking, and feedback
• Help students develop confidence and a clear understanding of key mathematical concepts
• Support general teaching and academic tasks as required by the centre

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine interest in education and supporting student development
• Is currently studying or has completed a degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline
• Has prior experience tutoring or teaching secondary Maths (preferred but not essential)
• Is reliable, adaptable, and open to ongoing training and improvement
