Job summary

Programmed GO is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our client in Somerton (Northern Suburbs) for a two-month assignment on day shift 7:30am to 3:30pm.

Responsibilities include operating counterbalance and high-reach forklifts, picking and packing orders, loading/unloading, and using RF scanners and a warehouse management system to track stock. Must hold LF forklift licence and be available Oct 29 to Dec 23.

Qualifications

• LF forklift licence with at least 6 months experience operating both high reach and counterbalance forklifts.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work 7:30am - 3:30pm Mon-Fri 29 Oct to 23 Dec with no leave during this period.
• Physically fit to lift up to 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklifts to unload containers, load/unload trucks, and transport pallets.
• Use high reach forklifts for stock putaways and order picking in high-density racking.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders, including sorting cartons and wrapping pallets to Australian standards.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and stock movements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and follow safety procedures.

High Reach / Counterbalance Forklift Driver in Somerton!

• 2 Month Assignment on Day shift 7:30am - 3:30pm
• Pay rate of $36ph (including casual loading)
• Located in Somerton VIC (Northern Suburbs)

Programmed are currently seeking an experiencedForklift Operatorto join our client in Somerton who manufacture and supply lab consumables and supplies for pathology, hospital, medical research and scientific markets.

This is a TWO MONTH ASSIGNMENT to commence Thursday 29th October until 23rd December for day shift 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate counterbalance forklifts to unload containers, load/unload trucks, and transport pallets, and high reach forklifts for stock putaways and order picking in high-density racking
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders, including sorting cartons, organizing stock by product type and lot number, and wrapping pallets to Australian standards
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory and stock movements
• Support the efficient flow of goods between loading docks, storage areas, and dispatch
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and stacking empty pallets
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures, including correct waste and recycling segregation (cardboard and plastics)

Requirements:

• Valid LF Forklift Licence with at least 6 months experience operating both high reach and counterbalance forklifts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday from 29th Oct until 23rd December with no leave planned during this time
• Strong attention to detail
• Must have full work rights
• Must be reliable, punctual, and physically fit / able to lift up to 25kg
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
