Job summary

Montessori Care is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) and High-Intensity Support Workers to join a dedicated care team providing complex clinical support on a 24/7, 2:1 rotating roster in Sydney.

These roles suit clinically skilled professionals who thrive in challenging care settings and are committed to person-centred outcomes, safe clinical practices, and compassionate, culturally aware care. You will work closely with a clinical team to deliver high-quality support.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Experience with airway management, PEG feeding, catheter care, and seizure management.
• Ability to lead and support a care team.
• Experience or willingness to be trained in suctioning, PEG feeding, and catheter care.
• Comfortable in high-intensity clinical care environments.
• First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Providing full physical assistance with activities of daily living.
• Performing regular suctioning to manage airway and secretions.
• Supporting safe hoist transfers with airway checks and suctioning as required.
• Administering PEG feeds and fluids.
• Managing suprapubic catheter care, including urine bag emptying.
• Administering medications via PEG, topical, subcutaneous, or inhaled routes.
• Monitoring for seizures and responding appropriately.
• Supporting emotional wellbeing through calm, reassuring communication.
• Respecting participation in cultural and religious practices.
• Working closely with the clinical team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
