Bendigo Kangan Institute in Docklands is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Teacher for workplace delivery. You will deliver and assess training in heavy vehicle mechanical technology, bring current industry practice into learning, and support students to develop skills, confidence and safety mindset in the workplace.

Based at the Automotive Centre of Excellence, you will plan learning activities, coordinate workplace visits, and travel to employer sites 2–3 days per week while handling administration and

Qualifikationen

• Trade Background: Extensive experience in Heavy Vehicle (must have)
• Currently hold a completed Certificate IV Training and Assessment or willing to undertake to transition into teaching
• Current Driver's License
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with employers and learners
• Basic IT skills and willingness to adapt to new technologies
• Able to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team
• The Essential Paperwork; Working with Children Clearance (WWCC), Current police check, Certified right to work documentation, Certified copies of your qualifications and transcripts

• Planning, managing and reporting on workplace visits, as well as allocating students to mentors and supporting their progress throughout the program
• Share current industry knowledge and demonstrate safe, high-quality work practices
• Plan learning activities, maintain training records and contribute to quality and compliance requirements
• Build positive relationships with learners, employers, and colleagues
• Maintain your connection with industry through professional development and employer engagement
