Job summary

Strategic Deployment Services – Maryborough QLD is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer to deliver high-quality training in the Transport sector. Role involves training during the week with occasional weekend sessions.

Applicants should hold an HRO/HC/MC license, a Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driving Instruction (Heavy Vehicle), and a minimum of three years’ driving experience, plus strong communication and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• HRO, HC or MC unrestricted license essential.
• Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driving Instruction (Specialisation B – Heavy Vehicle) essential.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving in the transport industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear training sessions.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver driver training to students in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
• Assess students' driving skills, providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality training and compliance with regulations.
• Provide hands‑on training in heavy vehicle operations, ensuring students are prepared for real‑world transport challenges.
