Job summary

Daracon invites an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the Beresfield workshop on a permanent basis. You will report to the Workshop Supervisor and work with a highly motivated team.

This role focuses on preventative maintenance and safety, with opportunities to apply Volvo truck, auto electrical and hydraulic experience within a supportive, long-term career at a reputable employer.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in the road transport industry is required.
• MVRIC licence or ability to obtain one is preferred.
• Proven ability to work well within a team environment.
• Strong commitment to a safety-first culture.
• Experience with Volvo trucks, auto electrical or hydraulics is highly regarded.
• Current Heavy Vehicle Drivers licence (HR or higher) is advantageous.
• Forklift licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to a safety-first environment in all tasks.
• Work independently and as part of a team to perform preventative maintenance.
• Contribute to proactive maintenance to minimise breakdowns.

This role will see you reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and working with a highly motivated team.

YOUR BACKGROUND

To be successful in this role you will have:

Essential

• Demonstrated experience working within the road transport industry.
• A MVRIC licence or can obtain.
• Proven experience working within a team environment
• A strong commitment to a ‘safety first’ environment
• Volvo truck, Auto Electrical or Hydraulic experience would be highly regarded’
• Volvo truck & auto electrical experience would be highly regarded
• Hydraulic and conveyor experience would be highly regardedCurrent Heavy Vehicle Drivers licence (HR or better) an advantage.
