Job summary

Daracon is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Beresfield workshop on a permanent, day-shift basis. You will report to the Workshop Supervisor and work with a driven team to keep fleet vehicles safe and well-maintained.

Essential credentials include demonstrated road transport experience, an HR or higher licence, and a willingness to obtain any required licences. Volvo, auto electrical or hydraulic experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience in road transport industry.
• MVRIC licence or ability to obtain.
• Proven team environment experience.
• Volvo truck, auto electrical or hydraulic experience would be highly regarded.
• Current Heavy Vehicle Drivers licence (HR or better) is an advantage.
• Forklift licence is an advantage.

THE ROLE

We currently have the need for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team based at our Beresfield workshop on a permanent basis. This role will see you reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and working with a highly motivated team, on day shift.

Requirements

YOUR BACKGROUND

To be successful in this role you will have:

Essential

• Demonstrated experience working within the road transport industry.
• A MVRIC licence or can obtain.
• Proven experience working within a team environment
• A strong commitment to a ‘safety first’ environment
• Volvo truck, Auto Electrical or Hydraulic experience would be highly regarded’
• Volvo truck & auto electrical experience would be highly regarded
• Hydraulic and conveyor experience would be highly regarded
• Current Heavy Vehicle Drivers licence (HR or better) an advantage.
• Forklift licence an advantage.

The successful candidate may be required to satisfactorily undergo a pre-employment medical assessment (where applicable) and other pre-employment screening.
