Job summary

Northeast Auto Group is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Accessory Fitter for its busy service workshop. You will install a wide range of aftermarket accessories and equipment to heavy vehicles, ensuring safety and quality finishes.

Ideal candidates are mechanically minded with a keen eye for detail, able to work hands-on and communicate effectively within a team. Prior accessory fitting experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Mechanically minded with a strong interest in heavy vehicles and aftermarket accessories.
• Experience in vehicle accessory fitting or similar workshop environment is highly regarded.
• Experience with 12V/24V automotive electrical accessories would be advantageous.
• Ability to follow instructions and installation procedures with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install and fit aftermarket accessories and equipment to heavy vehicles, trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Fit items such as bull bars, steps, toolboxes, lighting, beacons, mudguards, protective equipment and storage systems.
• Complete electrical accessory installations including wiring, switches and 12V/24V equipment.
• Read and follow installation instructions, drawings and manufacturer specifications.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment for fitment.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accessories are securely fitted and correctly aligned.
