Job summary

Fire & Rescue NSW is seeking a Transport & Recovery Operator Level 1 to move vehicles and equipment across New South Wales. The role follows a flexible 38-hour week with 4 on–4 off rosters and includes on-call allowances.

You will operate heavy vehicles, cranes, forklifts and recovery tow trucks within authorised systems. The position offers an on-site environment with gym and parking facilities, plus study assistance and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience driving articulated/heavy transport vehicles (≈50 tonne).
• Operate transport vehicles within the RMS permit system.
• Current Class HC drivers licence is essential.
• Experience with vehicle-mounted cranes, forklifts, and recovery tow trucks.

Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles and equipment across NSW.
• Support on-site refuelling during long incidents.
