Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd in Queensland is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to maintain, diagnose and repair heavy mining equipment across our operations in the Blackwater region. The role involves hands-on technical work on Komatsu fleets and close collaboration with a safety-focused team.

You will perform preventative maintenance, interpret OEM manuals, and keep accurate service records. The roster is 7 days on, 7 nights on 12.5-hour shifts, with opportunities to contribute to

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, service manuals and equipment specifications.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on Komatsu mining equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults and equipment-related faults.
• Support planned maintenance and equipment reliability activities.
• Maintain accurate service records and diagnostic results.
• Collaborate with technicians and operations to minimise downtime.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability and safety.
