Job summary

Mangoola Coal is seeking a self-motivated Heavy Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and work with an experienced crew focused on maximizing equipment availability through preventative and corrective maintenance.

The role is permanent full-time on a lifestyle roster, with an attractive remuneration package and potential relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• A Heavy Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate is essential.
• Experience in mining, especially with heavy mobile equipment, is required.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and proactive risk management.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on a diverse range of equipment including excavators, dozers, haul trucks and loaders.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and repairs within cost and time parameters.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve reliability and achieve objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safety culture.
