Mangoola Coal is seeking a self-motivated Heavy Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a diverse range of heavy equipment and work within a skilled maintenance crew on a lifestyle roster.

The role requires a Heavy Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate and mining experience, along with a safety-first mindset, strong problem solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate as Heavy Plant Mechanic is essential.
• Experience in mining with heavy mobile equipment is essential.
• Commitment to safety and proactive risk management.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on Liebherr, Caterpillar and Letourneau equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs within cost and time constraints.
• Collaborate with team to achieve maintenance objectives and improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and culture.
