Job summary

Autonomy & Asset Management Group (AAMG) is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Float Driver to join our client’s team in Queensland. This role focuses on safe transport of oversized and heavy equipment across civil, mining and construction projects, using specialised float trailers and heavy haul trucks.

You will load, secure and unload machinery, conduct pre-start inspections, complete transport documentation, plan safe routes and ensure compliance with transport regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current MC Driver Licence and demonstrate proven experience operating heavy haul trucks and float trailers.
• Experience transporting oversized loads within civil, mining or construction sectors preferred.
• Solid understanding of state and federal transport regulations and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Transport oversized and heavy equipment to and from project sites using float trailers and heavy haul trucks.
• Load, secure and unload machinery safely in accordance with procedures and regulations.
• Perform pre-start inspections and ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
• Complete required transport documentation and permits as applicable.
• Plan safe transport routes and coordinate with site personnel to move equipment efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with transport legislation and safety standards.
