Emeco is seeking an experienced Kalgoorlie Local Heavy Diesel Technician to join our team at the Fimiston mine site in the Goldfields of Western Australia. You’ll take ownership of fault‑finding, breakdown repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance to keep a large and diverse mining fleet operating safely and efficiently.

This hands‑on role is suited to technicians who take pride in their trade and thrive in a fast‑paced mining environment.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Heavy Diesel trade certificate.
• Mine site experience across breakdowns, diagnostics and servicing.
• Experience with OEM equipment CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hitachi.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of fault-finding, breakdown repairs, diagnostics and maintenance.
• Work on a large and diverse mining fleet.
• Perform component change-outs as required.
• Ensure safety and efficiency in a fast-paced mining environment.

What we’ll need from you:

• Australian recognised Heavy Diesel trade certificate
• Strong mine site experience across breakdowns, diagnostics, servicing, and component change‑outs
• Exposure to OEM equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr, and Hitachi
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
• National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
