Job summary

East Coast Diesels in Maroochydore, on the Sunshine Coast, is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to start hands-on and grow into a workshop supervisor/office leadership role.

You’ll work across workshop and field service, handling customer communication, job bookings, workflow organisation, and parts management while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Qualifications

• Heavy Vehicle Mechanic trade certificate is required.
• 2+ years post-trade experience is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability is required.
• Basic welding experience/qualifications are advantageous.
• Professional communication and customer service skills are essential.

East Coast Diesels (ECD) in Maroochydore is expanding, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Heavy Diesel Mechanic who’s ready for the next step in their career. This role starts on the tools - but is designed to grow into a workshop supervisor/office leadership position.

About the Role

You’ll begin as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, working across workshop and field service jobs. As you settle in, you’ll gradually take on leadership and office responsibilities, including customer communication, job booking, workflow organisation, and parts management.

Your day may include:
