Job summary

Fleet-Pro Mechanical in Sydney, NSW is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to diagnose and repair wide-ranging issues on trucks, buses, and equipment, with opportunities to lead a small team.

The role involves routine maintenance, safety-focused workmanship, and potential field service with a vehicle provided. A formal heavy vehicle qualification and 3–5 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of heavy vehicle mechanic experience.
• Formal trade qualification as Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
• Experience with Volvo/Mercedes or other European vehicles preferred.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical issues on heavy vehicles (trucks, buses and equipment).
• Perform routine maintenance: servicing, oil changes and component replacements.
• Ensure all work meets high quality and safety standards.
• Lead a small team and coordinate field service work where required.

Fleet Pro Mechanical is looking for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team based in Minto. You will lead a small team on a late start shift or early morning, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mechanical issues across heavy vehicles, including trucks, buses, and other heavy equipment.

About you

• Minimum of 3-5 years of heavy vehicle mechanic experience
• Formal trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex issues
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Experience with Volvo/Mercedes or European vehicles preferred
