Job summary

CK Recruitment Pty Ltd on behalf of a Local Government Organization in the Sydney area seeks a qualified Heavy Vehicle Workshop Mechanic to maintain fleet, waste trucks, plant and equipment based in Blacktown.

This is a full-time role with a 38-hour week; Monday to Friday, 12:00–20:00. Ideal candidates have a heavy diesel trade certificate and 5+ years of hands-on experience with hydraulic, electrical and diagnostic systems, plus an HR licence or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in heavy diesel mechanics or equivalent qualification.
• Must hold a trade certificate specifically in heavy diesel mechanics only.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical repair of heavy plant, trucks and equipment
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Current HR Driver's Licence or willingness to obtain
• Must obtain HR Driver's Licence before starting if not currently held
• Understanding of work health & safety WHS and regulations and chain of responsibility COR
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
• Strong record-keeping and administrative skills for maintaining service logs.
• Ability to lift and handle tools/ parts weighing up to 25kgs
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors

Job description

Our client, a Local Government Organization based in Sydney area are currently looking for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Workshop Mechanic to assist with maintenance of Local Government assets. I.e. Fleet, Waste Trucks, Plant, Equipment.

The position is 38 hours per week, based in Blacktown

Hours;

Monday to Friday 12.00 - 20.00

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Trade certificate in heavy diesel mechanics or equivalent qualification.

Must hold a trade certificate specifically in heavy diesel mechanics only.

Minimum 5 year's experience in mechanical repair of heavy plant, trucks and equipment

Experience with diagnostics tools and electronic control module ECMS
