Job summary

RecruitUp Global in New South Wales is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic for a full-time, on-site role with an established transport business in Smeaton Grange. The successful candidate will service and repair heavy road vehicles, diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and work to safety standards.

You should have hands-on experience with trucks or heavy vehicles, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with heavy vehicle experience.
• Experience on trucks or heavy road vehicles.

Smeaton Grange, New South Wales Full-Time | Permanent Australian-based & New Zealand candidates welcome

An established transport business based in Smeaton Grange, NSW is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified Diesel Mechanic with solid experience working on heavy road vehicles and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, repairs and fault-finding.

THE ROLE

• Servicing and maintaining heavy road vehicles
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs
• Preventative maintenance and inspections
• Mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting
• Component repairs and replacement
• Keeping vehicles safe, reliable and operational
• Working to required safety and maintenance standards
• Working as part of an experienced team

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic experience
• Experience working on trucks or heavy road vehicles
• Good mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Strong preventative maintenance knowledge
• A practical, hands-on approach
• Good safety awareness
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with heavy commercial vehicles, trucks or transport fleets will be highly regarded.
