Job summary

National Group is seeking a qualified Heavy-Diesel Fitter/Plant Mechanic for a Prominent Hill mining project in South Australia. You’ll service and repair a fleet of haul trucks, loaders, dozers and excavators, and maintain accurate AMT records on-site.

The role requires a trade certificate and mining equipment experience (CAT/Komatsu). Expect FIFO from Adelaide or Port Augusta with flights, accommodation and meals included, in a permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate required (Heavy-Duty Fitter or Plant Mechanic).
• Experience with CAT mining equipment preferred.
• Experience with Komatsu mining equipment preferred.
• Solid commitment to safety and teamwork.

The Role

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Service, maintain and repair a fleet of haul trucks, wheel loaders, dozers, excavators and other ancillary equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
• Accurate maintenance records via AMT
• Follow site procedures
• Collaborate with a tight-knit team to minimise machine downtime

What we’re looking for

• Heavy-Duty Fitter or Plant Mechanic trade certificate
• Experience with CAT and Komatsu mining equipment preferred
• Ability to wear respirator without restriction as required (i.e. clean-shaven face)
• Solid commitment to safety and teamwork
